How to Earn Technical Elective through an Approved Internship/Coop

 

The IME Department has a way for students to receive Technical Elective Credit for a Coop/Internship.

A one-quarter (any quarter) Full-time Coop/Internship is eligible for up to 2 units of IME 400 (Special Problems) Technical Elective

A two-quarter (any two quarters in a row) Full-time Coop/Internship is eligible for up to 4 units of IME 400 (Special Problems) Technical Elective

 

To find out more, please contact Stephanie Allen in the IME department by email at sallen@calpoly.edu and attach your offer letter.  Stephanie will respond with the proper paperwork to complete before you leave on your Coop/Internship.  All of the paperwork is required to be completed before the Coop/Internship begins.

Assignments while on Coop/Internship:
  Work Information Form
  Monthly Progress Report
    (1 Qtr = 2-3 Progress Reports; 2 Qtr = 4-5 Progress Reports)
  Coop/Internship Report
  Executive Summary of Coop/Internship Report
  Supervisor Evaluation
  Student Evaluation
